Epson Sublimation Printer

NB: Always add your inks  first before turning on your printer:

The printers we supply come with Epson-compatible ink bottles that can be placed directly onto the printer to fill the tanks. These inks are available from us.

If your printer comes with a non-portable ink bottle, follow the instructions below.

When setting up your sublimation printer, you can fill your ink tanks using one of two methods:

1. Using 4 Ink Pipes (One for Each Color)
• Fast and clean setup
• Connect each color pipe (C, M, Y, K) to the ink bottle and tank
• No need to squeeze — gravity feeds the ink automatically
• Monitor levels carefully to avoid overfilling
• Best for printers with external tanks or bulk systems

2. Using 4 Syringes (One for Each Color)
• Allows precise ink control
• Draw ink from the bottle and inject gently into each tank
• Ideal for manual refilling
• Helps measure accurately and avoid spillage
• Watch levels closely to prevent overfilling

Let us help you grow your sublimation business — from ink to income.

Here’s a quick Epson EcoTank sublimation maintenance guide:

Daily
• Power off the printer when not in use.
• Keep it covered to prevent dust.
• Run a small test print if not printing daily to avoid nozzle drying.

NB: Weekly
• Print a full CMYK color sheet to keep ink flowing evenly.
• Check ink levels. Refill before tanks run too low.
• Wipe the printhead area gently with lint-free cloth if you notice smudges.

Monthly
• Run “Nozzle Check” from printer maintenance menu.
• If gaps appear, run one “Head Cleaning” cycle. Avoid multiple cleanings in one day.
• Clean waste ink pad area if the printer gives warning.

Every 3–6 Months
• Replace ink with fresh sublimation ink if unused for long periods. Old ink clogs heads.
• Gently clean capping station and wiper blade with distilled water and cotton swab.

Tips
• Use high-quality sublimation ink only.
• Never mix different ink brands.
• Keep the printer in a stable temperature environment.
