User Guide: Handheld Inkjet Printer (Portable Branding Tool)
This handheld inkjet printer is a versatile, battery-powered tool designed for industrial-grade branding on almost any surface. From cardboard and wood to metal, glass, and even fabric, this machine allows you to take your business branding anywhere.
1. Unboxing & Hardware Setup
- The Metal Guide: This included plate is a precision guide. Use it to ensure straight, perfectly aligned prints on slippery or uneven materials.
- Ink Cartridge Installation:
- Pro-Tip: Always insert or remove the ink cartridge while the battery is out to protect the electronic pins.
- Open the side gate, slide the cartridge in until it is flush with the face of the machine, and lock the gate.
- The Battery: Ensure the power switch is in the “off” (upper) position before plugging in the battery. To power on, toggle the switch to the “on” (lower) position.
- The Stylus: Located in the kit, the stylus is essential for navigating the touch interface and typing text precisely if you have larger fingers.
2. Software & Custom Branding
The printer features a highly responsive user interface that allows for on-the-fly editing.
Adding Text: Use the “Add Text” function to type directly on the machine. You can adjust:
- Size: From 12pt up to 300pt.
- Style: Solid or “Round Dot” (ideal for a dotted industrial look).
- Font: Choose from several fonts (Arial is recommended for maximum clarity).
Uploading Logos: * Use the provided USB drive to upload custom logos.
- Spec: Ensure your logo height is a maximum of 150 pixels for optimal fit.
- Once uploaded, you can save the file to the machine’s internal memory so you no longer need the USB drive plugged in.
3. Operating Instructions
- Select Your File/Text: Choose the content you wish to print on the screen.
- Start Mode: Click the “Start” button. The screen will display “Waiting.”
- The Print Trigger: Place the rollers against your material. Press the physical trigger button on the handle—the status will change to “Printing.”
- The Motion: Move the printer across the surface at a steady, natural pace.
- Too fast/too slow: May cause the image to look stretched or compressed.
- Natural speed: Results in a crisp, professional “straight-shot” print.
4. Material Compatibility Guide
This printer is a “champ” across multiple substrates:
- Porous: Cardboard, Wood, Paper, and Fabric (T-shirts/Cloth).
- Non-Porous: Metal, Glass, Plastic (bottles/containers), and Laminated Packaging.
- Tip: When printing on slippery surfaces like glass or plastic, use the Metal Guide to prevent the rollers from sliding.
5. Essential Maintenance (The “Freshness” Rule)
To prevent your ink from drying out and clogging the nozzles:
- The Protective Cap: Your ink cartridge comes with a plastic cover. Never discard this. * Storage: If you are not using the printer for more than a few minutes, remove the cartridge and snap the protective cover back on. This keeps the printhead moist and ready for use.
- Firmware Updates: You can update the machine’s OS and UI via the USB port to keep the system running smoothly.
SourcePrinting Pro-Tip: Your imagination is the only limit! Use this for batch coding, adding logos to finished products, or even marking metal equipment. Just remember: Do not use on skin—keep it for your business materials!
