Sourceprinting Mini Desk XP600 A3 DTF Printer setup and maintenance (Jetpal, Locor, Graphking)

Based on the technical specifications and operational requirements for the XP600 A3 DTF Printer, here is your comprehensive setup and maintenance guide.

I. Hardware Assembly & Ink System

  • Remove Nozzle Lock: You must remove the nozzle lock before attempting to power on the machine.
  • Ink Installation:
  • Fill each bottle with the corresponding color according to the labels.
  • Crucial: Shake the white ink bottle thoroughly before adding it to the tank to prevent sedimentation.
  • Ensure the white ink circulation pump is functioning to maintain ink consistency.
  • Film Setup:
  • Install the film roll holder by aligning it with the screw holes on the back of the printer.
  • Lift all three film press rollers , pass the PET film underneath them , and then lower the rollers.
  • Safety Notice: The printing film must stay perpendicular to the horizontal direction and must not exceed the red dotted line inside the machine, or it will scratch the nozzle.

II. Software Configuration

  • Connectivity:

    • Connect the printer to your computer using a high-speed USB cable.
    • Verify the connection via the BetterPrinter software; a specific icon will appear in the lower-left corner when successful.
  • Initial Ink Charging:

    • In the BetterPrinter software, navigate to “Print set” and click “Start” under the “Add ink” section.
    • Run this process until all ink has reached the printhead and the tubes are free of air bubbles.
  • RIP Software (RIIN):

    • Insert the blue dongle into your computer to enable the RIIN software.
    • Set your canvas size; the film width must not be set to exceed 33cm.
    • Import your designs (typically in Tif format with spot color channels).

III. Critical Daily Maintenance

  • Pre-Printing Protocol:

Perform a daily cleaning via the software cleaning function.

    1. Print a Nozzle Test strip.
    2. Do not start production until you have a complete and perfectly colored detection line.
  • Cleaning Procedures:

    • Wipe the grating strip (encoder strip) regularly with a non-woven cloth and alcohol to prevent printing ghosting.
    • Use a cleaning swab to clear waste ink from the ink-absorbing pad and surrounding areas.
  • Power Requirements:

    • The machine requires a stable 220V voltage with fluctuations not exceeding 5%.
    • It is highly recommended to use a 5KW voltage regulator to prevent electrical damage.

IV. Weekend & Holiday Care

  • If the machine will be idle for a weekend or long holiday, apply nozzle moisturizing fluid to the ink pad.
  • This keeps the printhead surface moist and prevents the ink from solidifying inside the nozzles.
